22. Ten Day Taco Feast

4th January 2014, Cozumel, Mexico

I would love to make it sound like my holiday was primarily about snorkling, swimming a few kilometres every morning and eating nothing but fresh fruit and seafood. I can lie and say that was the case, but I have no intention of doing so. Also if that was usually the case, I would be a size 2.

I really do love Mexican food. Meat, bread and cheese - what is not to love? And to top things off, it all comes with guacamole - which is my favourite thing to add to just about any meal (or eat with a spoon, whatever.).
When I say I love Mexican food, we're mostly talking Tortilla and Wahaca in Canary Wharf as well as some really dodgy Mexican food at Chi Chi's in Luxembourg for circa 3 years.

So 10 days were spent eating Guacemole and chips literally every single day. And fish tacos. I really love fish tacos. Almost more than I love mojitos. And I really love mojitos a whole lot of crazy amounts.

As my 20 odd tacos were all swallowed down with a couple of Coronas, there will no carbs or alcohol in January unless I magically develop a super speedy metabolism. I should really add doing that to the list too....

Anyway, lesson learned as expected - you have not had Mexican food until you've been to Mexico.
